Raccoons dip their food in water before eating it. No one knows why, but this unusual trait played into their scientific Latin name, procyon lotor, which roughly translates as “dog-like washer.” The Bible says we are washed by God’s Word, and that the Word is Jesus. You are designed to be a washer too. When you walk into a room, you carry the loving, cleansing presence of Jesus. You convey the words of Jesus -- healing, peacemaking, purifying. You are created to blow a fresh wind and convey love to a hurting world.
