God has tucked you into his secret place for a season and a reason. He has hidden you from danger, but also, he is refining you to desire deeper divine intimacy with him. You are his special treasure, his delight, his uniquely designed child. He desires to nurture your capacity for his ways and increase your hunger for holiness. Don’t chafe against the secret place but lean into it. Listen. Talk less. Contemplate more. Look into his eyes and learn to receive from his heart. You are a doer, accustomed to accomplishing, but God is calling you into the cleft to reveal his glory to you, a place beyond performance, a kingdom beyond worldly expectations. It’s time to dance with the King, the attentive and ardent author of your story and finisher of your faith. Let his pleasure become your deepest delight.
