“Courage, dear heart” are the words Aslan spoke to Lucy in C.S. Lewis’ “Voyage of the Dawn Treader,” the third book in his fantasy series, Chronicles of Narnia. Aslan, and these books, loom large in my memories, carrying me to the love of Jesus when the Bible weighed too heavy. How I remember being that frightened young woman who had lost her way. God is so merciful and kind to use whatever means possible to draw us to himself. We can trust him with our lives.
